Ramiro Torres Campos - Treasurer

Ramiro Torres Campos holds a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law and a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior from U.C. Irvine. As an immigrant, Ramiro arrived in the United States with his family at age ten, and grew up in a working-class community in Orange County, CA. Having overcome many obstacles, including incarceration, Ramiro became the first in his family to graduate from college and ultimately from law school. In law school, Ramiro worked with the Ohio Innocence Project, helping Ohio prisoners and their families with claims of actual innocence. He worked with the Immigrant and Refugee Law Center in Cincinnati, OH, and the Public Law Center in Santa Ana, CA, providing legal assistance to the immigrant community. He worked, in Cincinnati, for the Hamilton County Public Defender, representing clients in court with misdemeanor cases. After law school, Ramiro worked in California as a Post-Bar Fellow with the Orange County Public Defender, assisting attorneys in the Felony Unit; and most recently as a Law Clerk with Prop 47, Prop 64, and the Incarcerated Veterans Unit. Lastly, Ramiro serves as part of the Advisory Committee for Project Kinship in Orange County, CA, and has certified training in Trauma and Recovery from Cal State Fullerton.
